Be a part of our team at FOKUS!

Are you a freelance language trainer, intercultural trainer or translator? Then you may well be the person we’re looking for. We’re always on the lookout for qualified and motivated language experts to help us on our mission to provide our clients with the language services they need.

FOKUS Sprachen has been around for more than 35 years and has constantly put quality, customer satisfaction and tailor-made solutions at the forefront of our services. By working together with internationally-minded clients, we have been able to offer our extensive team of trainers opportunities to work and gain experience in a diverse range of industries and environments.

Our language trainers are incredibly important to us. We offer our language experts an in-depth support network with open channels of communication at all times. Our Directors of Studies are on-hand to help with any and all of your pedagogical and technical queries, and our team of key account managers strive to help build up your weekly schedule with interesting contracts at times that suit you.

As a language trainer with FOKUS you benefit from a range of services to help support you in your job. We offer regular training workshops and seminars, an extensive library constantly updated with the latest textbooks and lesson materials and access to digital resources created by the most renowned publishing houses and providers. The Directors of Studies are there to help guide you on the right path if you’re needing any advice or wanting to try out something new.

We also offer a large degree of freedom when it comes to your role in the classroom. We don’t impose any teaching style or force you to work with material you’re unfamiliar with or unenthusiastic about. You get to choose your own approach and what you work with as long as it meets the needs of the participants you have at hand.

What should you bring to the table as a language trainer?

  • A teaching qualification (TEFL, CELTA, DaF etc.) or other relevant qualification primarily in education or languages. Trainers wanting to teach business language courses may be considered without a qualification if they have extensive experience in a corporate environment.
  • Initial experience as a language trainer, ideally in a business or corporate environment
  • Drive to continually tailor courses to meet the individual needs of your participants
  • Friendly and communicative manner and a keen focus on customer satisfaction

After more than 35 years of company experience, quality, individuality and customer satisfaction are still our focus. By working with internationally active customers, our trainers have the opportunity to get to know various companies and gain different experiences.
