COVID19 Update May 26 2021
Finally! Face-to-face training at FOKUS Stuttgart starts again on June 7!
Die lange Zeit des Wartens kommt nun zum Ende.
After the „Pfingstferien“, on 7.6.2021, our Open Groups and other language learners can choose whether to learn online or in person at FOKUS in Möhringen.
We have very strict hygiene regulations in place to keep everyone safe.
If you’d like to come to FOKUS you need either:
- A negative COVID19 test certificate from a test centre, no more than 48 hours old (not a self-test)
or - An immunisation book/pass showing full immunisation 2 or more weeks ago
or - Doctor’s proof that you have recovered from COVID19
The same regulations apply for language test candidates. Please bring one of these 3 documents to your test or you will unfortunately not be permitted to enter FOKUS and do the test.
If you would like to attend your course at FOKUS in person, please let us know beforehand, by email, so we can plan our rooms to give everyone enough space to be safe.
We hope you all remain healthy!

Which English?
Languages are living things: they grow and change to reflect the needs, interests, abilities, knowledge, fears and pretty much everything else about the people using them. At Fokus, we look at the real life needs of our English learners when deciding on the best trainer. Our trainers come from many different English speaking countries, including the USA, Canada, the UK, South Africa, Australia, the Philippines and Singapore. For most learners in today's world, being internationally understandable is usually more important than being overly worried about which English.
This article from the Guardian explores the changing usage of British and American English around the world. Of course, there are many other standard forms of English...
