BAMF Integration Courses
GENERAL
The Integration Course is a state-funded German course that is run on behalf of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). The course is aimed at both new immigrants and people who have been living in Germany for a longer period of time but have insufficient knowledge of German.
The integration course consists of 600 hours of language lessons and a 100 hour Orientation Course and concludes with the DTZ - German Test for Immigrants - at language level A2 or B1 and with the test LiD - Living in Germany - after the Orientation Course.
In order to receive the subsidy, you need a Berechtigungsschein, which can be issued by BAMF, the Ausländerbehörde, a Träger der Grundsicherung or from the Bundesverwaltungsamt.
With this Berechtigungsschein, you only pay €220,00 per Module of 100 units. Participants who receive Arbeitslosengeld II or who are Sozialhilfeempfänger pay nothing.
Privatzahler ohne BAMF-Förderung zahlen 475,00 Euro pro Modul.
