As an AZAV (formerly AZWV) certified educational institution, FOKUS offers you correspondingly certified programmes such as Business English, German and other languages. These measures supported by the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) through the allocation of education vouchers:

You can receive an education voucher if:

  • You are registered as a jobseeker and a corresponding qualification in the target language English, German or another language increases your placement potential.
  • You are at risk of losing your job and you can avoid unemployment by having the appropriate qualification in a target language that is necessary for you.
  • You would like to improve your qualifications in an existing employment relationship within the framework of further training.
  • You work on short-time.

We will need the flowing information from you:

  • Your full name
  • Your place of residence
  • Your telephone number

Afterwards you can book an appointment with us for a detailed language consultation, in the course of which we will determine your needs and assess your previous language skills.

You will receive a written programme proposal from us, which you will present to your employment counsellor. These services are of course free of charge and without obligation. If the appropriate requirements are met, you will be issued an education voucher, which you should submit to us.

Afterwards we will invite you to your course - if the Federal Employment Agency has approved it and provided that the course planned for you reaches the minimum number of 12 participants required by the Federal Employment Agency - and you can start your further education. In certain cases, the Federal Employment Agency will also approve individual courses. We settle all costs directly with the Employment Agency.
